About

Going home is a frame of mind. The modern desire to be ‘upwardly mobile’ is paralleled by the need for physical movement to match ambition, contrasted with the displacement forced upon millions of others around the globe. Amidst a less rooted and increasingly secular society, my work debates the resulting distinction between space and place—as well as the sites and rituals that continue to provide meaning in the search for belonging.

Integrating the use of lens-based media, site-specific investigations and found materials, my process is centered around the theme of movement and how we mark our tracks. Chance, repetition, and the grid are all players in a process defined as both scrappy and reverent.
